It was whilst renovating a holiday home in the Dordogne that Jennifer Dean discovered the necessity for a Business Directory of English speaking businesses where expats and holidaymakers alike could contact English speaking trades, businesses and services and in 2008 EnglishSpoken.com was launched.

With the Business Directory well established and now receiving over 1.8 million hits every month, in 2016 decided to develop a French Property Portal working closely with Immobiliers, Property Developers and Intermediary Companies throughout France. The French Property Portal is designed with anglophones looking to buy a second home in mind, giving them access to over 18,000 properties for sale throughout France, each with descriptions of the local area, maps and market trends.
